Sena的出身頗有來頭，是由大名鼎鼎的葡萄酒業巨擘Robert Mondavi發起而建立的。1990年，他與智利資深釀酒人Eduardo Chadwick，在阿空加瓜谷（Aconcagua Valley），找到理想的葡萄生產地，建立了Sena酒莊。由Eduardo進行實際的管理與釀造，展開了Sena追求智利頂級品牌的雄心，釀造上非常嚴謹，絲毫也不馬虎。Sena莊園內種有多種葡萄，以赤霞珠（Cabernet Sauvignon）作為主葡萄再調配幾種別的葡萄以均衡酒質，全由人工採摘，送至酒廠後，再將果梗、莖、葉與葡萄分離，避免產生雜質。釀造完畢後，再將酒裝入中度燒炙的法國全新橡木桶中陳年達22個月之久。

評分： WA95 Eduardo Chadwick's 2008 Sena is a blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Carmenere, 10% Merlot, with the balance Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It offers up an enthralling, already complex bouquet of sandalwood, exotic spices, incense, red licorice, black currant, and blackberry. Velvety-textured, layered, and structured, it deftly combines power and elegance in a wine that mandates another 5-6 years of cellaring. It will deliver prime drinking from 2016 to 2028+.
