Harvested between the 6th and 12th December, the nose is very ripe with black cherries, iodine and a touch of sloe coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly furry tannins at first, but then the balance and particularly the freshness comes through on the finish with touches of blueberry and dark cherry. Nice length. It should open up by the time of bottling. Taut finish. Very fine. Tasted April 2009.

Bright crimson. Healthy looking. Super-ripe nose. Like elderberry juice plus rather prominent acidity. Not very comfortable to taste at this stage but full of very obvious fruit.
